How do I know which track to register for?

Visit our About page to view the various programs and requirements to select where you or your child/student should enroll. Track A is for intermediate to advanced levels (Suzuki Books 6-10 or above, or equivalent pieces), Track B is for beginning/intermediate levels (Suzuki Books 1-5, or equivalent.)  Fiddle Track is for students of all levels and ages who want to focus more on fiddle music, styles, and improvisation skills, with Natalie Haas and folk/jazz teachers. What times will classes happen on the 3 days of Camp?

 

  • Class dates for January, 2021 will be announced in November, 2020.

What kinds of classes will be offered? 

- Students will take part in two Small Group Playing Classes per day, on his/her instrument, at his/her playing level.

- Each student will also receive a 30-minute private lesson each day.

 

- All students can also take part in the daily one-hour Webinar Masterclasses, featuring presentations on:

  • Dealing with nerves and preparing for performances

  • Leadership and collaboration in ensembles

  • The basics of recording high-quality audio and video

  • Faculty performances and Q&A's

- On the final day, we'll join together for our Camp Concert Celebration, featuring a virtual "jam" session, and performances by students and Faculty members.

In total, this adds up to over 10 hours of musical instruction and activities during this exciting, 3-day Camp!

What if I'm an adult beginner? Which track should I register for? 

We welcome students of all ages (from age 9 and up) and adult students are always welcome and encouraged! If you are an adult interested in taking classes in the A, B, or Fiddle Tracks, we divide classes according to ability level and musical style, so that students can learn together in a supportive, helpful environment.

What do I need in order to take part online?

All students will need a computer or device with a webcam and microphone, the free Zoom application downloaded on their computer or other device, a strong and stable internet connection, their instrument(s), and any sheet music/tune books they are currently working with in practice.  More details will be sent as camp approaches!

Do you accept checks?

Yes, but we highly recommend using the PayPal option on our registration form instead, as your place will not be reserved until full payment is received. (Please CONTACT US for details.) Registration will open for Track A, Track B, or the Fiddle Track in November, 2020.
